The Mid Amateur Team

The Mid Amateur Team is set up for single figure handicaps aged 20-55 who are members of Clubs affiliated to Yorkshire. The group is very friendly and keen for ladies who meet the criteria to join us. We have 3 fixtures each year but are always looking to introduce 'new' fixtures.

We have been investigating if any neighbouring Counties would be interested in a reciprocal match. We have a dedicated Facebook page and would ask anyone interested to view it.

Mid Ams Vs YSLGA 1st team. – April 13 2025 at Wakefield GC

A fantastic match which went down to the final pairing and a half in the last for the seniors meant the YSLGA 1st team went away team winners with a 3 - 2 victory.

The top match was very competitive with all 4 players enjoying some good golf.

The same can be said in the 2nd match with MP and Karen going 3 up at the turn with Karen having fantastic birdies on 8 and 9, Julia and Emma hung in and had 2 birdies on the back 9 and turned the match around for a1 up win to the mid ams.

Lisa and Kate pairing held their own until 12 when the seniors then took control of the match, the same happened for Julie and Jo, with matches ending before the 18th, but competitive throughout.

Jayne and Ruth had a very competitive match going down to the final putts on the 18th. A half for both teams was well earned.

A great day at Wakefield Golf Club and an excellent start to the season for both teams.
