This year we took a team of young players aged 12 - 14 year old with handicaps ranging between 15 and 25 to Gosforth Golf Club where they played 2 days of golf - stableford on day 1 and match play on day 2.
Day one was a little breezy (gusts upto 40 mph) and I thought we may have needed to weigh down the girl's golf bags and the players !
All performed well and after day one we were sitting in 4th place.

Day 2 saw a calmer day and the match play began. 4 out of the 6 girls won their matches with the other 2 just losing out on the 16th and 18th hole so we scored 48 out of 50 points.
We finished 4th overall just missing out on 3rd place by 1 point. The girls all played with great passion and determination and never stopped smiling. - a real asset to the County.
A big thankyou to Northumberland for hosting the event and congratulations to Lancashire for winning this year.
We look forward to hosting the jamboree in 2026 at Scarcroft GC
